COMPOSITION

Arny, Rika and their two sons are staying with 12 girls in Eikehof. Their ages range from 5 to 17 years.

INTERESTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS

The girls are interested in reading and dancing. The little girls enjoy the trampoline, playing with their dolls and most of all - playing hide and seek.

Most of our girls take part in sport.

CHURCH AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

The two Dutch Reformed Churches that are involved are Harrismith and Harrismith Kerkenberg. They are really an asset for us. Some of the ladies are involved with birthdays and prayers for our children. We receive groceries and some delicacies quarterly, as well as clothes, matric farewell clothes, underwear, etc.

A local hair dresser takes care of our girls hair and other companies contribute towards the bazaar.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE HOUSE

The neatness of our house is something to be proud of. All the girls are eager to help with the tasks in the house and are proud to participate.

CHURCH AND SCHOOL PARTICIPATION

We attend Bethlehem-West Dutch Reformed Church and the girls also participate in the youth ministry, even if they are out on weekends. They also participate and help during the church bazaar.

The girls attend four different schools. Voortrekker High School, Truida Kestell Primary School, Maluti Hoogland Special School and The Anchor Pre-primary School.
