I am Elisa Tau, child care worker at Blydskap.  Lisbeth Morapedi is the relief child care worker.   It is a girl’s house where we care for 11 children.  Nine of them are 11 years – 15 years old, but two of the girls are 17 years old and help me a lot with the smaller ones.

The girls attend the following schools:  Böhmer, Heide, Batho, Dr Blok, Sehunelo, Sand Du Plessis and Martie Du Plessis School.  The girls are fond of playing with dolls, trampoline, and monopoly on the veranda or in the rooms and this can occupy them for long periods.  They build their own little houses in their rooms and entertain themselves for hours on the end.  They love cards and puzzles and Dealesville Dutch Reformed Church Congregation brought them cards.  Nella brought them  a Monopoly set.  They enjoy watching movies.  Dealesville congregation supplied them with groceries.

We are supported by the following Dutch Reformed Churches, Dealesville, Jacobsdal.   Nella are exceptionally generous.  They supply us with groceries, meat, clothing and toys.  Nella brings presents for the children.

On their birthdays each girl receives a lovely present and birthday cake from Dealesville Congregation and from Nella they always get presents and snacks and then we have a great party.  They do a lot for the girls and spoil them with cool drinks and sweets.

The girls take part in extra mural activities at their schools.  One girl is good in netball and another girl in ballet and dance.  The girls enjoy dancing and movies.
